Parents and students, Welcome to 3rd grade! Please watch for the take home folder. It will come home every day. On Mondays it will have all graded papers. These should be taken out every Monday and not returned to school. It will also have a newsletter, spelling list, homework papers(due on Friday), notes from school, and the reading log. Students will read three nights a week for 20 minutes. Parents, please sign the log to show that you know they read. If you have time for them to read aloud to you this is best, but I realize that is not always possible. I check their reading logs on Mondays, so if they need to use the weekend to get their days in that is fine. This is counted as a homework grade and is a very important part of their language arts six weeks grade. Homework and reading logs will not start until the second week of school. As always if you have anything that you would like to discuss about your child's education my door is always open. My conference time is from 11:05-11:55 and the number is 817-594-1884. December 10-14 No homework this week! Keep your reading logs going. |
