IV. SinceAlvord is NOT competing Rehearsal/Performance order is as follows: 1)Boyd, 2)Peaster, 3)Paradise, 4) Ponder, 5) Brock.
V. Times– Rehearsal will begin at 9 a.m. on the 19th, with Boyd. Since there are only 5shows, there will not be a lunch break. The day of contest, the judges’ meeting will be at 12:30 a.m. The first show will begin at 1 p.m.. All shows will run back to back with nolunch break. Awards at each contest –BA’s, 8 ASC, 8 HMASC, and 8 All-StarCrew, Advancing plays, Alternate play.
VI. Critiques will be done in order of distance except for advancing shows, which will be last and those two will also be in order of distance.
VII. Judge will be Helen Lewis.
VIII. Elligibilityforms can be found online – Cast, Crew, Directors, Publisher, Play Title,Prop/Set List. In addition to filling the online forms out, please send a copyof all of that information to me (Lisa Cockrell,Peaster High School, P.O. Box 129, Peaster, TX 76088) and to Diane. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PUT YOUR CAST IN ORDER OFAPPEARANCE ON THE COPY YOU SEND TO ME AND TO DIANE.
IX. Scripts– You will need to send a copy of your script, with your cuts clearly marked,to the judge. Do not send a typed copy or a photocopy. It has to be a published copy of the script.Also, you should choose your play from the approved list, or if you plan to doone not on the list, make sure you get approval from the UIL. See the handbook for instructions on how toget approval. If you choose to do anadaptation, rather than a cutting, you will need publisher permission as wellas UIL permission.
X. Handbook– get the new one (available at the UIL online store) and read it from cover tocover; it will be your best friend!

XII. Director’s Packet – If you go to the UIL theater website (under academics), you will finda director’s packet which will be very helpful for you. You might also want to look at the contestmanager’s packet and the adjudicator’s packet to see what they look for.
XIII. Unit Set will be provided. If you need extrapieces that are not part of the basic unit set such as doors, windows, orFrench doors, contact the contest manager or provide your own.
