• Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)

    The Student Health Advisory Council assists the district in meeting the requirements set forth by the TEA for the eight components of the coordinated school health model.  The SHAC assists the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the health education program.  The SHAC meets 4 times during the school year to address the continued implementation of the following components:
     
    • Health Education
    • Physical Education
    • Health Services
    • Nutrition Services
    • Counseling
    • Healthy School Environment
    • Staff Health Promotion
    • Family/Community Involvement
