Tag Hooks

Tag Hooks has committed to play men’s tennis at Concordia University.

Tag discovered tennis in the spring of his 8th-grade year, and from day one he was hooked. What began as a simple tryout quickly turned into a passion, leading to a second-place district finish in JV boys singles the following season. By his sophomore year, Tag earned a spot on the varsity team, fueling an even stronger drive to improve.

That dedication paid off. Through extra lessons, camps, and high-level tournament play, Tag continued to elevate his game, culminating in a district championship in varsity boys singles his junior year and a fourth-place finish at regionals. While his season ended earlier than hoped, his ambitions for this year and beyond remain high.

In the classroom, Tag maintains a 4.0 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, and takes pride in being a Peaster Greyhound.
Tag chose Concordia University for the opportunity to grow in his faith, earn a quality education, and compete at the collegiate level. With career goals of becoming a lawyer, he is excited to begin the next chapter as a member of the Concordia University men’s tennis team.

Derek Zubiate

Derek Zubiate and I will be attending Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas in the fall. I will be pursuing a software engineering degree because I am interested in technology and how software is built.

After college, I plan to enter the IT world and put my degree into play by working with computers, software, and problem solving. I am excited to start this next chapter and work toward my future career.
