• Hello, Peaster High School,

I am excited to be serving as the high school principal this year! My name is Doug McCollough and I am entering my 17th year in education and 5th in administration during the 2022-23 school year.  I have had many experiences along the way including stops at Benjamin, Graford, Poolville and Bridgeport as a history teacher, coach, athletic director and administrator.  I was primarily a baseball coach but have coached football, basketball, volleyball, track, cross country and golf throughout my career. I graduated from Tarleton State University with my B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science and also my M.S. in Education Administration. My family and I are blessed to have the opportunity to be Greyhounds. My wife Courtney and I have 3 boys Caden 14, Brock 10, and Madden 6 that keep us on our toes. We have the same expectations for our children that we do for yours because I want to push them to become the best they can be.

My educational philosophy is based on the belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family. It takes a team!

It’s a great time to be a Hound!
